We all know how challenging it can be to keep the kids entertained! Here are some ideas for things to do over the school holidays.

 

SEEN@Swansea will host the new exhibition Tyrannosaurs: Ultimate Predators. SEEN@Swansea is an exhibition space located above Lake Macquarie Visitor Information Centre. Check out the Lake Macquarie City facebook page for updates.

 

The PCYC’s in Newcastle and Lake Macquarie have a variety of fun workshops planned and they still have some places available.

Fort Scratchley is reopening (weekends only) and is a great place to keep an eye out for whales! The grounds, galleries and shop will be open and the Firing of the Gun is at 1pm.

Picnic and play at Blackbutt Reserve with the playgrounds, walking trails open spaces, shelters and barbeques all open. Park at Richley Reserve spend some time on the adventure playground, walk across to Carnley and take a stroll around the wildlife exhibits. 

Richmond Vale Railway Museum celebrated it’s reopening last weekend and is open this Sunday 12th July from 9:30am.

Hunter Valley Gardens Virtual Treasure Trail - Until Sunday, 19 July 2020. Download the Hunter Valley Gardens Treasure Trail app and explore all the beautiful corners of the ten individually themed Gardens searching for clues and answers on this fun for the whole family virtual treasure hunt. With prizes for all children upon completion, and a major prize awarded to the highest point scorer in both the adult and children’s version of the Virtual Treasure Trail.

Outdoor fun and exercise for free with Disc Golf at Jesmond Park and Styles Point Reserve - take your own Frisbee and have some fun!
